The 2022 CECloud Summit, organized by China Electronics Corporation (CEC) and hosted by the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), kicked off in Beijing on Nov 18.

The event aimed to strengthen China's cyberspace construction and digital economy, as well as advance cyberspace security technologies.

Zeng Yi, president of CEC, Shen Changxiang, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mei Hong, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tang Chao, director of WEDZ's administrative committee, participated in the conference online or on-site.

Considered as the cradle of the domestic electronics industry, CEC is a central State-owned enterprise devoted to the development of China's cyberspace by developing businesses in computing, IC, cyber-security, and digital governance.

In 2020, CEC jointly founded the Zhikai System Technology Co with the zone to boost the digitalization of the zone mainly through services in city brains, beautiful communities, and smart industrial parks.

The CECloud is a safe type of digital infrastructure launched by CEC for government services, State-owned enterprises, finance, and public services (including medicine, education and transportation).
