Wuhan Youhe Composite Material Co, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), has accelerated the construction of its second-phase workshop, which will begin operating by the end of this year.
The new composite material production line currently being built is expected to churn out 1.5 million square meters of composite material for the interiors of automobiles, valued at about 20 million yuan ($2.81 million).
Located in the intelligent connected and electric automobile industrial park of WEDZ, the company mainly provides fabrics for automobile trims, such as those used in car seats, door planks, and ceilings. Its products serve Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Honda, Geely, Xpeng and other renowned automakers.
"It is hardest to produce the fabric for car seats, because the processing procedures are complicated and different parts of the seat have different requirements for the fabric in terms of intensity and abradability," said Dai Zhengda, vice manager of the firm.
Last year, Youhe achieved 35 million yuan in production output, with average annual revenue growth standing at 10 percent, and has been designated a gazelle company.
After eight years of arduous entrepreneurship, the firm has entered a stage of accelerated development, and will continue to expand investments in R&D and further strengthen internal quality and standardized management.
