Dongfeng Motor Co, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), is an international carmaker that has set up businesses in more than 20 cities in China, including Wuhan, Shiyan, Xiangyang, Guangzhou, and Liuzhou.

It has formed the most complete product line and business chain in China's automobile industry, and has provided excellent auto products and services to more than 100 countries and regions across the globe.

Last year, all car brands of the firm reported an output of 3.27 million cars, ranking third in the domestic automobile industry and ninth among China's top 500 manufacturers.

The Second Automobile Workshop (of China) was set up in Shiyan in 1969, and six years later the workshop's "Dongfeng" brand debuted. In 1992, the workshop was renamed Dongfeng Motor Co, and its headquarters moved from Shiyan to Wuhan in 2006, when it started its domestic automobile market planning.

Over the past 30 years, Dongfeng has gradually developed into a large-scale group capable of producing many kinds of cars, including commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, new energy vehicles and military vehicles, and auto spare parts, and is also able to provide related services and equipment.

VOYAH – the premium electric vehicle brand of Dongfeng Motor – was established in WEDZ in May last year, while VOYAH FREE – its first production model – was exported to Norway in September. According to Dongfeng's plan, VOYAH FREE will be sold in Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark and Israel starting in 2023.
