The 10 technological transfer programs of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) were signed for the Future-tech Innovation Institute of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) at a themed signing ceremony held on Sept 28.
The event was considered one of the series activities for the upcoming 70th birthday of the university several days later.
HUST has established its Junshan Campus for international education and sci-tech innovation with WEDZ, and has jointly built a national demonstration pilot test base – WEDZ's Future-tech Innovation Institute, which focuses on automobiles, new materials, new energy and other fields, explores new technology commercialization approaches, and has fostered a batch of high-quality enterprises.
HUST also used the occasion to unveil 13 R&D institutions it has established with Huawei, Guide Infrared and other companies.
