VOYAH FREE, the first production model of VOYAH – the premium electric vehicle brand of Dongfeng Motor – is ready to enter the European market. On Sept 26, the first batch of 500 production models departed from Wuhan to Norway and will be delivered to local customers in November.
The move indicates that VOYAH has officially begun competing with global luxury auto brands. Lu Fang, VOYAH's CEO, said that it also demonstrates that Chinese high-end new energy vehicle (NEV) design and production standards have gone global, demonstrating the nation's smart manufacturing prowess and cultural soft power.
VOYAH FREE began to serve domestic purchasers in August last year, and then the company started to explore overseas markets, becoming the fastest Chinese NEV brand to go global.
Electric Way is the dealer of the production model in Norway, and its CEO Torje Aleksander Sulland was reportedly confident about car sales.
Norway is the first stop for VOYAH, according to the introduction of Lu. VOYAH will then enter the markets of four countries – Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Israel. Its second production model Dreamer is also expected to hit European markets in 2023.
