The new energy headquarters project funded by Vision Group Co was launched at the modern service industrial park of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on July 27.
The project will reportedly extend the zone's hydrogen energy industrial chain and contribute to Wuhan's future role as one of China's hydrogen energy hubs.
Vision Group Co is one of China's largest storage battery exporters, mainly dealing with the research, production and sale of chemical power, new energy storage, power cells and fuel cells. Lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries and fuel cells are its three major products.
The first phase of the Vision Hydrogen Energy (Wuhan) Industrial Park has already been put into use. The new energy headquarters involved a total investment of about 400 million yuan ($59.06 million) and are scheduled to begin operating in the second half of 2024. The new headquarters will be responsible for the sale, testing, display and research of the company's hydrogen energy products.
Seizing the opportunities brought about by the goal of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, WEDZ has stepped up efforts in the R&D of core technologies involved in the hydrogen energy industrial chain and is currently promoting the demonstration operation of hydrogen energy automobiles.
