Chinese people have been keeping the custom of lotus appreciation since ancient times. Lotus flowers are dubbed the flower goddess of June. The 2022 Wuhan Lotus Festival kicked off on June 10, and will last for one month until July 10.

Tanghu Park, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, is one of the city's nine lotus viewing venues for the festival, having a huge lotus pond of 42,000 square meters and featuring red and pink lotus flowers.
The Chuanjiang Pond in the Three Kingdoms Historical and Cultural Park of Shefa Mountain is currently filled to the brim with lilies, which form a sharp contrast with the modernist Chunsun, the zone's new iconic landmark. [Photo provided to en.whkfq.gov.cn]

But there are many more places to admire the captivating lotus lowers, including the Auto Valley City Soccer Park, where fans can watch soccer games and indulge in the exquisite lilies, and Sanjiaohu Park, where white lilies send out an exquisite wafting fragrance to passersby.
