A work meeting was held in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on June 7. The zone has decided to pursue integrated development between the WEDZ Comprehensive Bonded Zone (CBZ) and the Port Logistics Park. Liu Ziqing, secretary of the zone's working committee, presided over and addressed the meeting.
At the meeting, Guo Yongcai was named secretary of the Party work committee of the WEDZ CBZ and Port Logistics Park management office, while Chen Wenming and Xiang Zhiqiang were named director and deputy director of the office, respectively.
Liu Ziqing pointed out that the integration of the two areas is a strategic move based on the zone's long-term interests and is essential to the deepening of institutional reforms, optimization of resource allocation, and raising of the zone's overall competence.
Liu also called for coordinated efforts to stimulate Hannan district's development while focusing on developing Junshan New City by promoting the port-industry-city high-quality development and strengthening the compatibility of work mechanisms and development concepts.
