The 2022 China Auto Supply Chain Conference and the first China New Energy Vehicle (NEV) and Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Ecosystem Meeting is scheduled to take place on June 27-29 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, according to local news reports on June 4.
The conference is held annually and is one of China's most authoritative and influential industrial events. This year, it will be held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Hubei Provincial People's Government and China Machinery Industry Federation, and will take place in Wuhan for the first time.
The conference focuses on overcoming bottlenecks in the automobile supply chain and is expected to reshape the chain by making it safer, more independent and more resilient.
The event's tagline is "integrated innovation and green development – building a new auto industrial ecosystem", and it will include one strategic summit, one main forum and six sub-forums in which leading figures from automobile manufacturers, top experts and government officials will discuss issues related to the dual-circulation development paradigm, unified national market, normalized pandemic prevention and control, NEV and ICV, and supply chain security.
Over the past three decades, WEDZ has become home to nine whole-care manufacturers and more than 500 prestigious auto part suppliers. It is currently able to produce over 50 automobile production models and generate about 320 billion yuan ($48 billion) in revenue annually.
