The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) is currently constructing a more capable modern industrial system and striving to make breakthroughs in digital economy, modern services and healthcare.
Tasked with strengthening development of Zhuankou area, the zone's business park has brought in a group of leading digital economy operators, such as JD Cloud, Neusoft and iFLYTEK.
iFLYTEK, for example, has provided intelligent services to the zone's 47 schools, and helped them set up more than 30 artificial intelligence (AI) laboratories. "We also assist schools in creating AI practice courses," said Shang Shang, a high-ranking employee at the firm.
Founded in 1991, Neusoft is China's first listed software company, with a focus on smart city, life and health, intelligent connected vehicles and related software products and services. The company's southern China base, located in WEDZ, is scheduled to be launched in September and put into use in December in 2023.
The base is expected to become a near-zero carbon emission demonstration base in Wuhan and provide software development and systematic solutions for automobile electronics, life and health, cyberspace security, education, smart city and government services.
Finance is the life blood of the real economy. The business park has selected a number of banks and security and insurance companies to establish regional headquarters in the park, and has promoted the cooperation between the zone's government and these financial institutions.
The Auto Valley Capital Island, which is currently being constructed, is expected to become home to all kinds of financial and intermediary service providers.
