A team of officials led by Liu Ziqing, secretary of the working committee of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), and Tang Chao, president of the zone, launched a research trip to ongoing major projects on May 3.
At the Port Logistics Park, the Wuhan auto multi-model transport base is currently being constructed. Liu Ziqing stressed the necessity to integrate development of the park into the overall layout of the Yangluo Port. The project will include the construction of car repair workshops, logistic warehouses, factories for car recycling, and automobile roll on/roll off terminals, with the first phase to be finished at the end of this year.
In the first quarter of 2021, the zone operated smoothly, and further optimized its industrial structure. The number of market entities and new residents both grew more rapidly than before.
Officials were required to find existing problems and weak links to be addressed during the second quarter, and double down efforts to push forward the investment, construction, and operation of programs, as well as ensure the healthy development of the local land market and real estate industry.
The team also visited the construction sites of infrastructure projects at the Automobile and Auto Parts Industrial Park, Xpeng automobile intelligent manufacturing base project at General Aviation and Satellite Industrial Park and the Auto Valley capital island project during their trip.
