The Tongji International Rehabilitation Medical Center, currently under construction in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), will be the largest first-class rehabilitation center in Central China. The main structure has already been completed.

The center, which will serve Hebei province, is expected to be complete at the end of this year and begin operation in June 2023. It will help injured or disabled individuals to restore bodily functions.

The center's total construction area is about 230,000 cubic meters, which includes three main buildings for rehabilitation therapy, rehabilitation training and rehabilitation equipment research, as well as rooms for emergencies and other special purposes.

All buildings have had roofs installed and are currently being water-proofed and equipped with ventilation and water supply infrastructure.

The main buildings of the center, which will provide 906 beds, will offer traditional rehabilitation therapies, such as acupuncture and massage, and modern therapies such as hydrotherapy. The center will also feature many kinds of rehabilitation training areas for activities for daily living and sling exercise therapy.
