During the first quarter of this year, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) launched 23 key projects involving a total of 58.5 billion yuan ($9.17 billion) in investment. To accelerate construction on the projects, the zone's bureau of administrative examination and approval has played a proactive role in investigating existing problems during the process and setting out to solve them.
Dongfeng's high-end new energy off-road vehicle project, for example, has benefited significantly from the bureau's services. The bureau's agency center formulated a strict schedule of agendas to be carried out and helped Dongfeng gain the planned land map for the project within a short period of time through coordination with relevant government units at the municipal and provincial levels.
The agency center was established in 2019 and has also served Lotus, Xpeng, and CALB, with its service scale expanding from merely industrial projects to all projects invested in the zone.
