Huali Ismartways Technology Co – a high-tech firm committed to the research and application of Intelligent Vehicle Infrastructure Cooperative Systems (IVICS) technologies and based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) – has launched many vehicle-to-everything (V2X) products and related software, which have been widely adopted in nearly 50 cities at home and overseas.
The company's 5G.V2X.AI intelligent connected vehicle platform entrepreneurship team was recently selected as the 2021 Class-B strategic entrepreneurship team in Hubei province, together with four other teams, according to a circular released by the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province.
The selection of the team was supported by five provincial government departments as a major talent program. Through the process, a group of scientifically innovative teams and entrepreneurship teams with strong development prospects, remarkable industry-university-research cooperation results, and the ability to transfer technologies are selected to receive support in the form of funds, platforms and programs.
The 5G.V2X.AI intelligent connected vehicle platform entrepreneurship team is mainly responsible for the manufacturing and research of V2X IVICS technologies, as well as related equipment. The team members are from renowned universities and enterprises such as University of California Berkeley, Tsinghua University and Huawei.
According to Ren Xuefeng, vice president of the company, the amount of people employed by the company has risen from 10 to more than 100 after four years of development.
In addition, 22 of the patents applied for by the company have been approved, and a provincial smart transportation comprehensive innovation platform has been established by the company, WEDZ, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
