The 2022 employment promotion campaign for Hubei human resource service institutions was held on Feb 15 at the Auto Valley International Sports and Cultural Exchange Center in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

The event was held by the Hubei Provincial People's Government, and was undertaken by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hubei Province and Wuhan Municipal People's Government in a bid to encourage all human resource service providers to address the talent demand for key projects and raise the province's employment rate.

Employment is the foundation of people's wellbeing, and the personnel recruitment performance during the first quarter is crucial to the whole-year economy. Officials were urged in the meeting to establish match-up platforms online and offline to find suitable candidates for enterprises in need.

Authorities will intensify vocational training to hone laborers' professional skills, implement fee and tax reduction policies for enterprises, and advocate an entrepreneurship-driven employment model in which new businesses have more jobs to offer. Special groups, such as college graduates, veterans, migrant workers, and other targeted groups having difficulties in gaining employment, will receive support.

A large-scale job fair was launched during the activity, mainly participated in by five major human resource service institutions, such as Wuhan Qidian Human Resources Co and Hubei Fangzhen H.R.Group Co, as well as 54 renowned enterprises. The fair was designed especially for the special groups mentioned above, and provided 5,447 positions in total.

Among these enterprises, 21 are from WEDZ, which are offering 2,626 positions, including, engineers, technicians, salesmen and accountants. The fair has been attended by more than 10,000 people.
