Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, has positioned the Junshan New City as one of Wuhan's industry-city integration demonstration zones. By strengthening a series of city functions in education, healthcare, and cultural ecosystem protection, the new city will accommodate a population of 300,000 and meet their needs in industries, livelihood, culture, sports, and public activities.
The Metro Line 16, which entered its trial operation stage since the end of last year connects the new city with WEDZ and Hannan district.
With the roof construction of the western branch of the Wuhan Children's Hospital and 19 additional medical programs progressing at an accelerated pace, including the Wuhan University Heavy Ion Medical Center and the 120 Emergency Center, the new city is going to enjoy a complete medical operation system.
