The first provincial major sci-tech project for 2022 – technologies applied in the 5G + discrete manufacturing smart workshop – was unveiled in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) recently. It was initiated by Dongfeng Design Institute and will focus on the highly-efficient business handling model and the problems existing in intelligent analysis, promoting the development of related products and their applications.
As a State-level industrial design center, Dongfeng Design Institute has been a leading scientific and technological service provider throughout the value chain of the auto industrialization. A series of overall smart manufacturing solutions and whole-process consultations have been offered by the institute to firms in need. The digital graphic platform it independently developed has been acknowledged by industry insiders for its advancement and practicality.
The institute is a pioneer in advanced manufacturing craftsmanship, process digitalization, smart and green manufacturing, smart workshops, smart building technology integration, building information modeling, and cloud computing.
Zhang Qun, the general manager of the institute, pledges to join hands with relevant units to conduct research in industrial software and intelligent equipment.
