Five Wuhan-based enterprises made the 2021 list of Hubei industrial internet platforms recently released by the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province, two of which are based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) – Datang Internet Technology (Wuhan) Co and Hubei Meritar Supply Chain Co.

Datang Internet Technology, owned by China Information and Communication Technologies Group Corporation, independently developed the Dtiip industrial internet platform, which integrates internet of things, big data, research, and artificial intelligence, and helps firms digitalize their industrial process at a low cost, as well as increase their production management and intelligent manufacturing capabilities.

Hubei KAIT Automotive Electronic & Electrical Systems Co – which uses the platform – has achieved full-life-cycle intelligent management covering design, manufacturing, testing, logistics and storing, which has raised its productivity by 40 percent. The company reaped sales revenue of about 400 million yuan ($62.84 million) last year, a year-on-year increase of 20 to 30 percent.

The supply chain management platform of Meritar – a digital supply chain management and smart logistics service provider – can offer many types of smart management services to traditional industrial manufacturers. To date, the platform has been adopted by 600 firms, handling over 180,000 orders every month.
