Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province released its 2021 list of new provincial industrial design centers, which included Hubei Meritar Supply Chain Co – based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
A provincial industrial design center usually features strict management, strong innovative capabilities, and high performance.
Meritar is a digital supply chain management and smart logistics service provider. It has established long-term partnerships with Geely, Ford, Volvo, and other automobile and auto spare part heavyweights. Its industrial design center was founded nine years ago, and has developed a digital supply chain management system that helps accelerate the localization of foreign management systems and narrows the gap between China and advanced manufacturing countries.
The autonomous mobile robot created by the design center is able to send and receive orders and transport spare parts effectively.
The company currently has nine invention patents, 19 software copyrights, and 16 practical and new patents, with its total output reaching about 300 million yuan ($47.07 million).
WEDZ has two technological design centers at the national level and one at the municipal level.
