WEDZ-based firms make Wuhan's annual top 10 news

The 2021 top 10 pieces of news in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province were issued on Jan 4. Four pieces were about firms located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

Initiated by Wuhan's entrepreneur commission and focusing on the exploration of Wuhan firms in core technologies, the top 10 pieces of news were publicly reported and of major significance. They are selected by professionals from authoritative news outlets.

The four pieces of news are about the launch of the "Dragonhawk One" – a seven-nanometer intelligent cockpit chip (ranked third), the start of official operations of Wuhan's three metro lines (Line 5, Line 16, and the second phase of Line 6) (ranked fifth), the establishment of the Xpeng Motor's Wuhan Intelligent Connected Automobile Manufacturing Base and R&D Center (ranked sixth), and the start of official operations of China's largest proton exchange membrane production line (ranked eighth).
