The elevated section between Xiaojunshan Station and Tunkou Station on Line 16 is located along the Yangtze River and travels across Tongshun River, with the longest distance to the ground reaching 31 meters. Metro Line 16, hailed as Wuhan's longest metro line with the most stunning riverside views, will begin operating soon. The line has 12 stations and enjoys a total length of 33.1 kilometers, with its maximum operating speed reaching 120 km per hour.
After completion, the line will be able to carry passengers from Hannan district to Wuhan's core districts within 30 minutes, which is 10 to 30 minutes faster than driving.
Line 16 will travel through Shamao New City, Junshan New City, Tunkou's new district, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone and Hanyang district.
