The 2021 Wuhan-Taiwan intelligent vehicle and semiconductor industrial cooperation and exchange conference kicked off in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on Dec 21.
Tang Chao, head of the zone, addressed the conference, emphasizing WHDZ's strong advantages in automobile manufacturing and rich innovative application scenarios, and highlighting the Wuhan-Taiwan collaboration as promoting the integrated innovation of the auto and electronic sectors. He expressed hope that specialists and entrepreneurs would join the zone in its quest to build a potent auto sector equipped with cutting-edge technologies and a complete industrial ecosystem.
Two Wuhan-based companies signed cooperation contracts with two Taiwan-based enterprises during the meeting.
WHDZ has successfully undertaken four Taiwan-related business and trade exchange activities since 2015, and to date, there are a total of 28 Taiwan-funded firms in the zone focusing on automobile spare parts, food, textiles, chemicals, and environmentally-friendly packaging.
