The insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) production line developed by Zhixin Semiconductor Co, a company based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), was put into operation in July this year, marking the big step forward for Dongfeng Motor Co to break new grounds in the IGBT sector.
Zhixin, established by Dongfeng Motor and CRRC back in 2019, has been devoted to overcoming bottlenecks in new energy vehicle (NEV) research and technologies related to NEV batteries, motors and electric control systems, as it seeks to build a stable NEV industrial and supply chain for Dongfeng Motor.
