The South Korean consul general in Wuhan, Kang Seung-seok, visited Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on Dec 1, aiming to deepen friendly cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.

Liu Ziqing, secretary of WHDZ's working committee, welcomed the visiting official, saying that Wuhan and South Korea have strengthened their trade ties over the past few years. Given the fact that the development zone's automobile, new energy and new materials industries are making steady progress, and that 2022 will mark the 30th year since China established diplomatic relations with South Korea, Liu stressed that he looked forward to broader cooperation in the years ahead.

Kang expressed his gratitude for the hospitable reception, and then visited the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Testing Pilot Zone and Auto Valley International Sports and Culture Exchange Center.
