A round table conference was held on Oct 21 by the famous British sports car brand Lotus and attended by Liu Ziqing, secretary of the working committee of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ).
Six top auto parts suppliers for Lotus expressed an intent to set up operations in the development zone due to the zone's many industrial achievements.
Leaders of the zone said WHDZ will offer top-notch services and a preferential business environment for enterprises based in the zone.
Lotus set up its global science and technology headquarters in the zone on Aug 31, and transferred its global operational management headquarters to Junshan New City. The headquarters will also focus on the innovative research of auto engines, batteries, control systems, autonomous driving technology, and smart manufacturing.
The company's production base in the Automobile and Auto Parts Industrial Park of WHDZ is also currently under construction.
