A special session was held on Oct 14 by the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) for the visit of Wu Xiaoru, president of iFLYTEK Co. The two sides discussed their cooperation in intelligent connected vehicles and the digital economy, and pledged to accelerate the construction of the company's headquarters in WHDZ.
iFLYTEK Co is a well-known publicly-listed intelligent speech and artificial intelligence (AI) company. In April this year, the company officially set up operations in the development zone. In addition to its headquarters, iFLYTEK will also set up its Central China research institute and AI industrial acceleration center in the zone, with an estimated investment of 5 billion yuan ($750 million)
The company has played an active role in the construction of the intelligent education demonstration zone since May, and has helped with informationalized teaching by utilizing AI, big data, cloud computing, and other cutting-edge technologies.
iFLYTEK and WHDZ are expected to further extend their collaboration to more areas. To this end, the zone will build a more transparent and fair business environment.
