The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, unveiled the 2021 WHDZ Technology Transfer Match-Up Campaign (Junshan New City Venue) on Sept 24 at the Wuhan Research Institute of New-Energy Automobile Technologies, attended by officials from the development zone, Liu Zuyuan, vice president of Wuhan University of Technology, and Hu Jun, deputy director of the Wuhan science and technology bureau.
The event was designed to accelerate the matching of capital and technology in a more pragmatic and professional way. There were agreements for six technology transfer projects involving new energy and intelligent connected vehicles signed at the events.
To deepen collaboration between the government and universities, Wuhan University of Technology and WHDZ signed a framework agreement, pledging to spend 5 billion yuan ($750 million) building the Wuhan AI and New-Energy Vehicle Industrial Technology Research Institute. The move is expected to promote the in-depth integration and development of AI technologies and new energy vehicles.
