A total of 19 businesses based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, haven been included on the 2021 Wuhan Top 100 Enterprises List, according to local media reports.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a major auto manufacturer based in WHDZ, continues to top the list.
The top 100 companies are ranked according to the internationally accepted practices and based on the operating incomes of the declared companies in 2020.
The threshold for the finalists of the top 100 comprehensive enterprises is 3.65 billion yuan ($5.63 billion), an increase of 2.01 percent year on year.
The revenue threshold of the top 100 manufacturing companies maintained a steady rise, reaching 166 million yuan, an increase of 3.8 percent over the previous year.
The revenue threshold of the top 100 service companies is 334 million yuan, an increase of 103 million yuan from the previous session.
A total of seven WHDZ-based companies were selected as the top 100 comprehensive enterprises, including Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Wuhan Municipal Construction Group, Wuhan Construction Engineering (GROUP) Co, and Midea Group Wuhan Refrigeration Equipment Co.
The seven enterprises cover areas including auto parts, engineering construction, home appliances, and new materials.
