Major Chinese auto manufacturer Dongfeng Motor Corporation recently made new progress in the commercialization of its independent fuel cell technology, with the launch of a new hydrogen fuel cell logistics vehicle, according to local media reports.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation is based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, or WHDZ, located in the city of Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province.
It is understood that the hydrogen fuel cell logistics vehicle is a new model that is tailored to meet the needs of intra-city and inter-city logistics applications.
The model is equipped with a large-capacity hydrogen storage system, combined with an efficient fuel cell system and efficient vehicle energy management system.
This is said to enable the vehicle to achieve a long driving range of 600 kilometers, meeting the long-distance transportation needs of customers.
The model can also reportedly achieve the optimal matching of the fuel cell system and the electric drive system. Under full load conditions, it is said to achieve an excellent power performance with an acceleration time of 0-100km/h less than 12 seconds and a vehicle speed topping 110km/h.
The model adopts multi-level hydrogen safety protocols, as well as real-time monitoring of the hydrogen concentration status of the fuel-electric system and hydrogen storage tanks, to ensure the safety of hydrogen during use.
In addition, the vehicle comes equipped with intelligent driving assistance systems – such as reverse imaging, cruise control, remote locking and hill start assistance.
