Wuhan Skywell Automobile Co, an auto manufacturer based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, has delivered five electric buses to its neighboring Jingmen city to help with COVID-19 prevention and control, according to local media reports.
The electric buses, given by the company to Jingzhou free of charge, will be used for the transfer of quarantined people.
The company is one of the domestic frontrunners in new energy buses. Its main products include pure electric buses and hydrogen fuel cell buses.
At present, the company has launched 21 hydrogen buses in the WHDZ alone, which have reduced carbon emissions by 4 million metric tons during two years of operation.
