Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, has completed nucleic acid testing for all residents in the zone, and a total of 515,668 nucleic acid samples have been collected, as of 12:00 on Aug 4.

The WHDZ reported seven COVID-19 cases on Aug 2. The seven patients have all been sent to designated hospitals for further diagnosis and treatment.

The development zone strictly follows the relevant COVID-19 prevention and control measures, quarantines communities and personnel, and disinfects and sterilizes contaminated areas.

From Aug 2, the Zhuankou sub-street has been classified as a medium-risk area. As of now, the development zone has comprehensively upgraded epidemic prevention and control measures, implemented closed-off management of the Zhuankou sub-street, and strictly controlled gathering activities.

The next step for the WHDZ is to ensure that everyone in the zone has taken a nucleic acid test.
