The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, issued requirements for COVID-19 prevention and control on Aug 3, according to the development zone's COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters.
WHDZ reported seven COVID-19 cases on Aug 2. The seven patients have all been sent to designated hospitals for further diagnosis and treatment.
The development zone strictly follows the relevant COVID-19 prevention and control measures, quarantines communities and personnel, and disinfects and sterilizes contaminated areas.
The development zone is currently conducting epidemiological investigations and nucleic acid tests.
From Aug 2, the Zhuankou sub-street has been classified as a medium-risk area. As of now, the development zone has comprehensively upgraded epidemic prevention and control measures, implemented closed-off management of the Zhuankou sub-street, further expanded the scope of nucleic acid testing, and strictly controlled gathering activities.
Residents should cooperate with epidemic prevention and control work, consciously accept community management, take the initiative to conduct home isolation, and cooperate with epidemiological investigations.
The general public is requested to further enhance the awareness of personal protection, wear masks properly, wash hands frequently, ventilate enclosed areas often, maintain a safe social distance of at least one meter when outside of home, and avoid gatherings.
Residents should pay attention to the health code. If the health code turns yellow or red, please contact community COVID-19 staff members immediately. If a resident has visited a medium to high-risk area in China, please report to community staff members as soon as possible.
