Two agreements for artificial intelligence (AI) projects that are planned to be developed in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province were signed during an AI and green development themed conference held on June 11, according to local media reports.
The total investment of the two AI projects amounts to 800 million yuan ($124 million).
The Idriverplus Central China Regional Headquarters Project will be developed and solely invested in by Beijing Idriverplus Technology Co.
The project will focus on the development of smart transportation-related businesses, and it will establish an artificial intelligence R&D center, product production base, and serve as Central China's regional digital marketing headquarters as well as establish a shareholding platform for core employees in Wuhan city.
It is estimated that by 2025, the project will achieve a production scale of 3,000 unmanned vehicles per year.
The Chuhang Technology Headquarters Project will be constructed and solely invested in by Nanjing Chuhang Technology Co.
The project will focus on 77GHz millimeter wave radar technology to build a research and development and production center for advanced driving assistance and intelligent driving systems in the WHDZ.
