The 2021 International Understanding Education Innovation Exchange Conference for Elementary and Secondary Schools was held in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on May 23, and saw the attendance of more than 300 experts, scholars and educators from all over the country.
The conference focused on topics such as the concepts and challenges of international education, international talent training, and multilingual teaching. Attendees discussed the future development of international education.
According to WHDZ officials, after years of exploration and development, international education in WHDZ is showing a vigorous vitality.
Four primary and secondary schools in the development zone have been rated as city-level international education model schools.
More than 20 primary and secondary schools in the zone have established friendships with overseas schools in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries and regions.
Currently, the development zone has three schools for children of foreign personnel, including Wuhan Yangtze International School, Wuhan French International School, and Wuhan ISA International School which is under construction, as well as a number of branded private schools such as Wuhan Jingkai Foreign Language School and Wuhan San New School.
