Eight major projects with a total investment of 25.03 billion yuan ($3.91 billion) are to be introduced to Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), following the signing of contracts on May 24, according to local media reports.
The projects cover fields including inspection and testing, big data, auto parts, intelligent manufacturing and agricultural product processing.
Xiangyang Daan Automobile Testing Center Co, which is also known as the National Automobile Quality Supervision and Test Center (Xiangyang), is to set up its subsidiary Wuhan Daan Technology Co in WHDZ.
The subsidiary will focus on the deployment of new energy (particularly hydrogen energy), intelligent network components, value engineering (VA/VE) and other vehicle and core component R&D and testing capabilities. It plans to build four test bases to provide customers with all-round automotive testing, certification, engineering development, consulting and evaluation services.
The Ningbo Yiyu New Energy Automobile Core Parts Production Project is primarily engaged in the research, development and production of high-pressure assembly components, intelligent cockpit products and lightweight technology products for new energy vehicles.
The Inspection and Testing Industrial Park Project in WHDZ will gather no less than 30 well-known inspection and testing institutions from home and abroad, and develop a highland for the entire inspection and inspection industry chain integrating R&D and design incubation, inspection and certification, standard formulation and revision, and training support services.
