WHDZ enterprises win provincial patent awards

Enterprises based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, have won gold and silver awards in the first Hubei Patent Awards, it has been announced.

CCCC Second Highway Consultant Co's long-span bridge construction method project won a gold award. The results of this project are of great significance in terms of improving the independent innovation ability of China's bridge construction and the construction standard of its long-span bridges, and will yield long-term technical, economic and social benefits.

The Changhua Electrical Equipment Group Co project won a silver award. It focuses on the safety of users' grid-side electrical components and their operating environment.

The Hubei Patent Awards, established by the Hubei Provincial People's Government, are selected every five years.

The total number of projects recognized each time does not exceed 50. Of these,  the number of gold award winners do not exceed 20, and that of outstanding inventor awards do not exceed five.
