Two scientific and technological projects - incorporating smart factories, smart buildings, new materials and other fields - will soon be introduced to Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, following the signing of cooperation agreements on May 16, according to local media reports.
The New Materials for Quantum Dot Display Technology Project, developed by Wuhan Kingfa Technology Co and Zhou Peijiang, a professor at Wuhan University, combines traditional quantum dot film and light guide plates. It plans to develop a quantum dot diffuser plate that maintains excellent luminous performance at high temperatures and will satisfy its application in the field of optoelectronic displays.
The implementation of this project would achieve a technological breakthrough in the quantum dot display field in this country.
Dongfeng Design Institute Co also signed a contract with Wuhan University of Technology for a New R&D Institution and Innovation Platform Project.
The project is based on a long-term joint training base for graduate students created at Wuhan University of Technology, and lays a good foundation for the in-depth cooperation between the two parties.
In 2020, WHDZ hosted a total of eight project signing events related to the industrial application of scientific and technological achievements.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the development zone will vigorously promote the application of innovative scientific and technological achievements, and implement an action plan for the development of ten high-end industries led by academicians and experts.
