Exhibits brought by enterprises based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) attracted much attention when they made their debut at the first China International Consumer Products Expo in Haikou, South China's Hainan province, on May 7, according to local media reports.
The four-day expo is the only national exhibition in China with the theme of international consumer goods imports.
Developed by giant automaker Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Sharing-Bus is a L4 level autonomous driving bus equipped with a holographic projection desk, a transparent touch screen and a bar.
The bus allows passengers to conduct business negotiations and experience 4D movie viewing while traveling.
Level 4 autonomy is where a vehicle is fully autonomous, but only in certain conditions. The driver does not need to be fully in control during travel, but must take over when the vehicle is no longer able to handle a situation.
Through the adjustment of the seats and configuration, the vehicle can be turned into a VIP multi-function commercial vehicle, unmanned mini-bus, unmanned sightseeing vehicle and other models depending on the need.
The vehicle can carry between 12 and 17 passengers, and can pick up passengers in large parks, ecological corridors, industrial parks, campuses, and suburban areas with fixed routes.
Wuhan specialty reganmian (hot dry noodles), produced by Wuhan Dahankou Food Co, also attracted much attention at the consumer products expo.
Founded in 1999, Wuhan Dahankou Food Co sells instant reganmian to countries including Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
At present, the daily production capacity of Dahankou reganmian is 300,000 packs, and the products can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Carrefour, Zhongbai Cangchu, Metro and other large supermarket chains.
The company has obtained five invention patents and 11 utility model patents so far.
