Agreements for six emergency industry projects worth 125 million yuan ($19.28 million) were signed by the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, or WHDZ – located in the city of Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province – during the Wuhan International Emergency Safety Expo on April 24, according to local media reports.
The expectations are that the signing of the projects will further strengthen the construction of the WHDZ emergency industrial system and promote the sustainable economic development of the development zone.
In recent years, the WHDZ has successively established an emergency response committee, an emergency command center, a flood and drought information center, an earthquake monitoring center and a law enforcement brigade – to achieve precise emergency management and a precise classified command structure.
It has also reportedly developed an emergency command system to visually manage various emergency resources, sources of danger, protection targets and emergency events.
