Four high-end projects in areas including intelligent connected cars, rural cultural tourism, and the digital economy are set to be introduced to Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, with a total investment of 4.3 billion yuan ($656 million), according to local media reports.
The Dongfeng Yuexiang Technology National Headquarters Project will be invested in and developed by Dongfeng Motor Yuexiang Technology Co.
The project will see the construction of Dongfeng's seamless mobile service headquarters base in WHDZ, and build a flexible production line for intelligent networked cars and terminal products.
By cooperating with colleges and universities across the country to build Sharing-X joint laboratories, the project will also include research on next-generation smart transportation, future communities and smart city scenarios, focusing on the development of new 5G infrastructure, smart transportation, smart cars, and future community services.
The Wuhan Landao Pastoral Complex Project is being funded and developed by Hubei Yuxuan Cultural Tourism Development Co. It will be a high-end niche tourism and vacation destination, integrating vacation and leisure, local folklore, art and culture.
The Hubei Wuyuan Smart Water Production R&D Center will be invested in and constructed by Hubei Wuyuan Smart Water Co.
It includes the construction of a smart water research and development center, a smart water technology exhibition hall, a smart water conference center, and a smart water integrated machine production center, forming a research and demonstration platform for the city's smart water system.
The JD City (Wuhan) Innovation Center project will be developed by JD Cloud Computing Co.
The project will see the construction of a cloud computing big data industry base, three centers (digital economy industry cluster center, "internet +" modern agriculture demonstration center, and a digital economy industry innovation center), and a new economic talent cultivation system.
