Four companies based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, have been selected as special new provincial-level "little giant" enterprises, according to local media reports.
The selection was made based on criteria including innovation ability, market share, key core technologies, quality and efficiency.
Hubei Radiatech Auto Cooling System Co was established in January 2005 and listed on the New OTC (Over the Counter) Market in September 2014. It specializes in the research and development, production and sales of automotive cooling systems, electrical appliances and body accessories.
At present, the company has become one of the largest automobile radiator manufacturers in Central China. Its customers primarily include complete vehicle manufacturers such as Dongfeng Motor Co, Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Co, and Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co.
The company won the title of "Wuhan Top 100 Manufacturing Enterprises" for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020.
The company places an emphasis on innovation, and currently has 60 valid patents, including five invention patents and 55 utility model patents.
It spent 9.29 million yuan ($1.44 million) on R&D in 2019. This figure accounted for 4.21 percent of the company's operating income. Although affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, it still invested 9.61 million yuan in R&D, accounting for 4.1 percent of its operating income.
