Dongfeng Motor Co saw its sales grow in 2020, despite the impact of COVID-19, with a total of 3.46 million vehicles sold.
Although car sales in the first quarter saw a sharp drop of 46.1 percent, the company doubled its efforts to fight the virus and saw a steady recovery, recording positive growth for the rest of the year.
The firm's joint ventures also thrived, with Dongfeng Nissan selling 1.13 million vehicles and Dongfeng Honda selling 850,000 vehicles respectively during the year.
Dongfeng Motor Co also shouldered greater social responsibilities during the pandemic period, with over 2,400 vehicles and medical supplies worth 105 million yuan ($15.75 million) donated to health services.
And the company also helped more than 220,000 workers employed by upstream and downstream distributors and suppliers to resume work and production.
Putting quality and productivity first, the company has pledged to renew its yearly goal of selling 3.85 million cars in 2021.
