Wuhan in Central China’s Hubei province is to develop itself into a city recognized for first-class intellectual property protection by 2025, according to the recently released "Specific Measures for Further Strengthening Wuhan City's Intellectual Property Protection".
The city is to increase the protection of intellectual property rights for new business types, new sectors, and new technology enterprises.
The "Specific Measures" require that by 2022, the city's intellectual property protection systems and mechanisms will be more complete and effective, and the ability and level of intellectual property protection will be greatly improved.
To achieve these goals, the "Specific Measures" propose 27 strict measures in five areas.
Wuhan city will strictly enforce intellectual property laws and regulations to achieve strict protection of intellectual property rights.
A social co-governance model is expected to be established in Wuhan to realize the protection of intellectual property rights.
The coordination mechanism will be optimized to realize the rapid protection of intellectual property rights.
To better protect intellectual property rights, Wuhan plans to improve foreign-related communication mechanisms.
In addition, Wuhan is set to strengthen funding guarantees for talent teams and realize the strong protection of intellectual property rights.
