A scenic spot featuring autonomous driving vehicles was launched in Longlingshan Ecological Park in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), on Dec 9, according to local media reports.
A total of 19 self-driving taxis, sightseeing cars, vending trucks, sanitation vehicles, and shuttle buses were added to the scenic spot.
The themed scenic spot is located in the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test and Demonstration Zone.
The roads around the area have achieved full 5G coverage and intelligent upgrades, and related support platforms are also ready.
This project is the first autonomous driving themed scenic spot in China, and it is one of the most important achievements yet in the construction of the application system based on commercial operation in the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test and Demonstration Zone.
