An employment promotion event was held in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on Dec 3, offering 60,000 job opportunities for college and university graduates, according to local media reports.

Representatives from 14 colleges and universities across the country visited key enterprises in WHDZ to conduct observations and inspections, strengthening university-enterprise cooperation.

Hubei Land Resources Vocational College and Wuhan Haier Electric Freezer Co signed a contract on site.

WHDZ introduced six major talent policies at the event, including the Key Talent Concentration Project and the Young Talent Training Project.

The development zone has streamlined approval procedures, softened the terms for college graduates to settle in the zone, and provided an inviting housing policy of 20 percent off for college graduates within five years of graduation.

The development zone also offers a one-time entrepreneurship subsidy, one-time employment subsidy, job training, internship training subsidies and other full-service employment and entrepreneurship policies for college graduates.

To date, WHDZ has introduced nearly 500 high-level talents of various types, offered more than 20,000 high-paying and excellent jobs every year, and attracted more than 20,000 college students to find employment or start businesses annually.
