The Tanshandao Constructed Wetland Park, located in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, is scheduled to be completed and begin trial operations by the end of January 2021, according to local media reports.

The Tanshandao Constructed Wetland Park is located at the intersection of Tanshandao and the main channel of the Maying River.

The project, created with a total investment of some 290 million yuan ($44.08 million), covers an area of 520,000 square meters.

The project will include a wetland landscape, metasequoia garden, reed beds, lotus garden, ecological pond, and ecological leisure area.

Of these, the ecological leisure area will boast soccer fields, basketball courts and badminton courts.
