Auto manufacturer Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co launched its second pure electric vehicle, the M-NV, on Nov 20, bolstering its new energy vehicle (NEV) product line, according to local media reports.

Dongfeng Honda, based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Hubei province, adheres to the concept of green development.

At the 2018 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, it announced a new energy brand proposition called "Seeing the Future".

In 2019, the company's first pure electric model, the X-NV, was launched.

The M-NV series has two NEV models, with official prices at 149,800 yuan ($22,754.62) and 159,800 yuan respectively. Preferential policies have been introduced.

As one of the major industrial groups in Hubei province, all three Dongfeng Honda factories in the WHDZ had resumed work and production and were operating at full capacity by the end of April.

Officials said their production capacity had returned to more than 3,000 vehicles per day and a new car was rolling off the production line every 50 seconds on average.

In May, Dongfeng Honda continued to produce at full capacity, manufacturing 71,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 16.4 percent. Meanwhile, the capacity utilization rate was close to 110 percent.

Between January and October this year, Dongfeng Honda sold 624,265 vehicles.
