Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, has been promoting the development of its construction industry with detailed regulations released earlier this year.

So far, 16 construction companies have met the relevant conditions and passed the review. According to the development zone's implementation measures, these companies are set to receive a total of 11.21 million yuan ($1.70 million) in reward funds.

The measures mainly provide support and rewards in six respects: promoting construction industry aggregation; upgrading of enterprise qualifications; increasing production and income of construction enterprises; striving for excellence; increasing technological innovation and new technology application; and vigorously introducing and training talents.

In recent years, WHDZ has been vigorously promoting the development of digital, networked, and intelligent traditional manufacturing industries.

According to WHDZ officials, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), the development zone will cultivate and introduce a group of construction companies with special qualifications and an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan.
