Auto manufacturer Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co has been selected as a model factory for green manufacturing, according to a list released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Oct 29.
Dongfeng Honda also won two honors: National Green Factory and National Green Supply Chain Management Demonstration Enterprises.
A total of 26 enterprises in Hubei province were selected as green factories. Dongfeng Honda marks the only automobile OEM in Wuhan to be included in the list.
Dongfeng Honda, based in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone in Wuhan, Hubei province, adheres to the concept of green development.
It is committed to building a green smart factory, introducing advanced methods and experiences in environmental protection from around the world, and making continuous progress in energy saving, green technology, and environmentally friendly models.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology began to publish green manufacturing lists in 2017, and has so far released five such lists, with the aim of accelerating the construction of a green manufacturing system and leading the high-quality development of industries.
