Auto manufacturer Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co has made progress in its daily vehicle output, with its three plants' daily production increasing to 3,800 vehicles in September, according to local media reports.
The plants are based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province.
One of the major industrial groups in Hubei province, Dongfeng Honda's three plants in WHDZ had resumed work and production and were operating at full capacity by late April.
At that time, their overall production capacity had returned to more than 3,000 vehicles per day, and a new car was rolling off the production line every 50 seconds on average.
In May, Dongfeng Honda continued to produce at full capacity, making 71,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 16.4 percent, with the company's capacity utilization rate at close to 110 percent.
Currently, two new models have been introduced in the third plant, and they are undergoing concurrent trial production. The familiarity cycle is shorter than in the past.
At present, in the assembly workshop of the third plant, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment at full load, there are dedicated personnel responsible for special daily duties to ensure the stable operation of production equipment.
